Family & Community Program

Hale’s Family & Community Program offers 2, 4, or 8 weeks of summer fun with friends and neighbors. Enjoy swimming and boating, nature exploration, arts and crafts, backyard games, block parties, and more.

Outdoor Fitness & Recreation

From camping to mountain biking and lap swim to yoga, Hale’s Outdoor Fitness & Recreation activities will keep you active throughout the year. Hale offers several options for outdoor enthusiasts of all stripes.

Summer Camps

Hale Day Camp, Hale Adventure Camp, and Hale Mountain Biking Camp offer a wide variety of summer experiences. From classic outdoor activities to educational wilderness trips to a Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program, Hale has a summer of fun waiting for you!

Vacation Days

Make the most of days off from school! Children ages 4–12 years old might find themselves building shelters, orienteering, or hiking Hale’s many miles of trails. Weather permitting, they may enjoy sledding, snowshoeing, and other wintry activities.

Hale Outdoor Learning Adventures (HOLA)

Hale partners with Boston Public Schools to provide a summer learning academy for elementary school students. HOLA uses best practices and proven methods to create fun, educational, and memorable summer experiences that blend academics and adventure.

Intrepid Academy at Hale

Intrepid Academy at Hale’s challenging, active, and personalized educational experience, combined with its unique outdoor campus as a classroom, prepares high school students for academic success, nurtures body and mind, and inspires a passion for learning.

Perrone-Sizer Institute for Creative Leadership

PSi is a professional leadership certificate program that can lead to graduate credit and completion of requirements for principal licensure. The program immerses participants in school settings and community-­based organizations and employs a design thinking approach.
